geoffrey waldo I’m a newbie as far as cevze and Turkish coffee. Ordered the 100 ml briki! Using a recipe of 9 g medium roast, 95 ml water, KINU 47 (1 turn from 0 point). Took only two attempts and got amazing cup. At first I had the flame too close. Used a small butane micro burner and stand and settled using with the flame skirt about 4.5 cm below briki. Starting cold (20 C) took 3 min to brew to wrap. I will now look forward to trying light roasts with regional characteristics!
Congratulations on the new experience!) I suggest using a 7-8 g dose for a better control (gives more space for the foam to open up with the lower chance of spilling). But the brewing time is perfect. Micro burner is for sure the greatest option for such a size.
